Glamellia: a traditional design with a modern twist
I recently learned about the Glamellia floral arrangement style in a workshop. The photos show my finished design.
Glamellia is a hand made composite flower created with dozens of gladiolus petals individually placed to resemble a large camellia flower. It can be designed as a hand held bouquet (pictured) or made smaller to be worn as a corsage.
The glamellia design is a traditional design that has made a comeback in recent years and this updated version of the glamellia takes the "Glam" to a whole new level with decorative accents like beads or jewels. The modern look is taken further with the addition of cascading glads and gracefully arching lily grass.
